History

Nadasens Transport is largely regarded as a pioneering member within the Transport industry. Established by Mr A. Nadasen, our Managing Director, in 1945, the company identified a need for services to Industries located in the nearby Merebank area at that time.  These businesses included Tomango (now Clover), Chrome Chemicals (now Bayer) and Natal Cane By-Products (now Illovo Sugar).  To date Nadasens Transport continues to maintain strong business relations with these Companies whilst delivering impeachable service standards necessary for the success of any growing company.

Maintaining the steady development and growth of the business, Mr Nadasen diversified his service offering to include sand mining.  In 1960 he successfully secured a tender to supply sand for road construction to the then Durban Corporation. Through sheer perseverance and unrelenting ethical business practices the company has grown from strength to strength since inception.

Nadasens Transport remains essentially a family owned business that was nurtured by Mr Nadasen, the present Managing Director, from a one-truck owner/driver operation to a company that presently boasts a fleet of various types of tipper trucks and Caterpillar machinery.  The Nadasens Transport brand is highly visible and the company has been widely acknowledged as having the most immaculate fleet of vehicles and earthmoving equipment on the road.

Having been a previously disadvantaged operator that has developed into a highly respected and recognised brand, Nadasens Transport is committed and well positioned to participate in various empowerment initiatives.
